Teeth in a day, also known as All-on-4 and Same Day Teeth, is a rapid solution for patients who want to enjoy beautiful, functional smiles. What does treatment involve and how does it work so quickly?
The treatment process involves intensive planning, which enables precision placement of the implants. The implants are secured in small sockets in the jaw bone, and the denture is then attached. All-on-4 is different to other systems because it can support a full arch of new teeth using just four dental implants. Usually, between 6 and 10 implants are required per arch. With All-on-4, two implants are placed at the front of the mouth, with the other two located at the back.
The positioning of the implants is key, as it takes full advantage of the strongest tissue in the jaw bone. The front implants sit at a 90-degree angle as with conventional implant treatment, but the back implants are tilted to 45-degrees to reduce the amount of bone needed to support the implant. With this same-day treatment, the implants and the denture can be placed together. This cuts treatment times dramatically.
